About Maresía
A fisherman's housefacing the sea
Twelve rooms in an old stranded house, two Michelin stars and a spa that pumps the Mediterranean. But what really defines us is simpler: caring for you as if you were at home.
The story
Born looking at the sea
Maresía opened in 2014 with a counter-current idea: twelve rooms and not one more.
When Helena Roig found the house, it was an old salting warehouse with a collapsed roof and the best stretch of coast in the village. It took her three years to bring it back to life with traditional materials: local lime, wood, and stone.
Maresía doesn't invent a place: it listens to it and takes care of it.
In 2019, Lucía Bram's first star arrived; in 2022, the thalassotherapy spa that today gives the house its name. The rest hasn't changed: guests are welcomed with tea and breakfast has no closing time.

Travellers' Choice
Reviews from returning guests place Maresía among the highest-rated boutique hotels on the coast.
What we don't negotiate
We don't have a brand manual. We have three convictions, and everything else—the linen on the beds, the spa water, the nightly menu—stems from them.
Honest luxury
Nothing pretentious, everything well thought out. Materials from the coast, linen sheets, and silence when needed. For us, luxury is not getting in the way.
The sea as a compass
The Mediterranean guides every decision: the water that powers the spa, the menu that changes with the fish market, the light that enters through every window. If we hesitate, we look to the sea.
No rush
We grow slowly, one room at a time. We prefer to care for twelve guests like no one else than to serve a hundred halfway. Time, here, is part of the stay.
Who receives you
Three names that carry Maresía from within.
Helena Roig
Director and founder
Those who return tell it best
A small house that does big things: they remember you, they take care of you, and they leave you in peace, all at once.
Helena told us the history of the salting warehouse with the original plan in hand. A chain doesn't give you that.
Twelve rooms and zero noise. The concept of luxury we were looking for without knowing it.
We've been coming back every autumn since 2021. The cat still has the same name and we're still playing along.
